Should I be a Christian?

Richard Wurmbrand said, 'Communism is Satan's religion on earth.' Well, if that is the case what is the religion of the Bible? First of all, the Bible isn't a religion, to become a Christian simply means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The Bible is the Word of God. The Bible has hundreds of prophecies just on the life of Jesus that were all fulfilled. The math department of the Pasadena City College determined that the odds of all these prophecies being fulfilled is an astronomical phenomenon. They computed the probability of these things happening as the Bible says by chance is 1 X 10 to the 16th power. This is mathematical certainty otherwise known as scientific proof. Dan 9:24-27 is a specific prophecy that says from the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem till Messiah the Prince is 483 years. 483 years to the day after the decree was issued by King Cyrus, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, which was prophesied and was proclaimed the Messiah. Until the Dead Sea scrolls, atheists and other doubters were sure this prophecy had been written after the death of Jesus.

The apostles all were tortured and put to death except John. Nobody dies for a lie let alone all 12 apostles. John was exiled to Patmos.

The Bible says we are like sheep who have gone astray. Jesus is the good Shepherd. Sheep are not known for being highly intelligent but, they know they are safe when the shepherd is near. Yo Dog, we are like sheep who can't find our way home without a shepherd.

Jesus said the least can be the greatest. Jesus said the low title of servant is the best title. Jesus spoke in parables. He was beaten for our iniquities and suffered on the cross for us. He then died and rose again from the dead similar to Lazarus so that we may do the same. He said the greatest commandment was to love God with all your heart and to love your brothers and sisters the same. His message is the formula for wonderful mental health. The Bible contains promises to the believers. 'Seek you first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.' Many people of the world proclaim themselves wise but they become fools. I'm sure you can think of your own examples.

First of all, realize that you are a sinner and have done wrong and need forgiving. Ask Jesus to come into your life and heart and seek Him and love Him and be friends with Him. Ask for His forgiveness and then stand back because your life will start to change for the better. The Bible says to confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. Don't be like Pontius Pilate and wash your hands but rather embrace the love.
